Turtle of Plastic Pollution
Hugh, Gabe, Van
This art piece represents the growing issue of plastic pollution in our oceans. The turtle which was made with paper mache and covered with plastic bottle caps, represents marine life that is impacted by human waste. Sea creatures are seriously threatened by plastic pollution because many of them confuse plastic for food or become entangled in it. The use of discarded bottle caps highlights the problem of everyday plastic waste and the long-lasting impact it has on the environment. This piece aims to raise awareness about the importance of reducing plastic use, encouraging recycling, and protecting marine ecosystems for future generations.
